A catalogue or even a simple data sheet is generally created by designing a layout grid / page layout using a piece of DTP software (e.g. QuarkXpress or InDesign). During the creation process, this design is then filled with pictures, texts, graphics, etc. that are located in separate folders. This means that the folders concerned must be found and the respective files must be opened / imported into the layout for each page and each content particle.

• Xactuell M allows text segments and prices to be quickly updated with contents from any database.
  Furthermore, layout grids can be quickly established with the aid of templates. Text and picture files are clearly provided from any databases and are manually positioned in a safe manner by a click of the mouse. Text and picture frames can be attributed, meaning that their behaviour can be predefined according to picture size / text quantity.

• In addition to all of the features of Xactuell M, Xactuell L offers an automation function that, without any programming knowledge, allows entire page flows to be established / modified at once. This results in an immense gain in productivity.

• Xactuell XL possesses the complete range of functions in order to generate entire catalogues or any type of publication in a fully automatic manner. This is achieved by a layout template in combination with a break programming function. This means that the respective text, picture and graphic data from the connected database can be loaded and positioned in each page with a high level of process reliability. This means that – provided that the database is appropriately maintained – a catalogue comprising of hundreds of pages can literally be updated overnight.
